At Shpresa Programme, we believe in the power of community and the extraordinary impact of dedicated volunteers. Volunteering has always been <\/span>in the core of Shpresa. We are incredibly proud to announce that three of our <\/span>outstanding volunteers, Evis Suka, Besiana Hasa, and Bleranda Synaj \u2013 were <\/span>nominated by Shpresa and they were recognised by Enfield Council for their <\/span>dedication and contributions to the local community. Their commitment to <\/span>supporting others has earned them *Special Recognition Awards*, <\/span>a testament to their passion and service.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Evis Suka - A Lifetime of Dedication to Education & Empowerment<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Evis has been a leader of the Albanian-speaking community for over 20 years, working with passion in leading the Edmonton group and running the <\/span>Albanian classes for children – to preserve the Albanian language and culture <\/span>while creating opportunities for children. Through her volunteer teaching and <\/span>mentorship, Evis has helped countless children learn the Albanian language, <\/span>the history of the motherland as well as build self-confidence and learn crucial <\/span>life skills.<\/span><\/p>

Her other initiatives, such as financial literacy programmes and drama workshops, have given young people essential tools to navigate life <\/span>successfully. Beyond education, she has fostered intergenerational <\/span>connections by supporting parents and children in developing stronger <\/span>relationships through open discussions and workshops.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div>

Evis\u2019s work has left an indelible mark on the community, shaping future generations and ensuring that young people feel valued, empowered, and <\/span>capable of achieving their dreams. Her recognition with a *Lifetime<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div>

Every Saturday at The Ark Marsh House, Besiana dedicates her time to supporting women and families in Enfield. She plays a crucial role in creating <\/span>a safe and welcoming environment, ensuring that every session at Shpresa\u2019s <\/span>women\u2019s support group and supplementary school runs smoothly.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

From setting up the venue to beautifully decorating event spaces, Besiana\u2019s attention to detail makes every gathering special. Her skills in photography <\/span>and video creation have also helped document the impact of volunteering, <\/span>inspiring others to get involved. Besiana\u2019s commitment extends beyond indoor <\/span>activities. She actively encourages environmental responsibility, organising <\/span>community clean-ups and educating others about the importance of <\/span>preserving green spaces. Her dedication to uplifting others and fostering a <\/span>sense of community has made her a true role model for women. Bleranda is a passionate advocate for women\u2019s empowerment. As a volunteer at Shpresa\u2019s women\u2019s support group and language classes. She helps <\/span>women build confidence, develop new skills, and access vital information <\/span>about mental health, domestic violence awareness, and life in the UK.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

She plays a key role in organising guest speakers and cultural events, <\/span>strengthening the bonds within the community. Her dedication to outdoor <\/span>activities, such as walks in parks and planting flowers, not only promotes well- <\/span>being but also encourages a greater connection with nature.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div>

Bleranda\u2019s warmth, leadership, and commitment have inspired many women to volunteer and become active members of the community.
