This year, we are proud to launch our new wellbeing initiative: \u201cCheck In On A Friend.\u201d<\/p><p>In today\u2019s fast-moving world, many people experience loneliness, stress, anxiety, or emotional struggles silently. Sometimes, a simple message, phone call, or conversation can make a huge difference to someone\u2019s day, and even their wellbeing.<\/p><p>Our campaign is built around one simple but powerful message:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5727464 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"5727464\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">\u201cA Simple Message Can Make a Big Difference\u201d<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6c252bf elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6c252bf\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The \u201cCheck In On A Friend\u201d campaign encourages everyone in our community to reconnect with friends, neighbours, colleagues, and family members through meaningful conversations and small acts of support.<\/p><p>The campaign aims to:<\/p><ul><li>Reduce loneliness and isolation<\/li><li>Encourage open conversations about mental health<\/li><li>Strengthen community connections<\/li><li>Promote kindness, empathy, and wellbeing<\/li><\/ul><p>Throughout the week, we will be hosting a range of activities designed to bring people together, support positive mental health, and create spaces where everyone feels heard and valued.<\/p><p>Sometimes the hardest step is simply starting the conversation. Reach Out Days, one of the activities we will run as part of this campaign, encourages people to take a moment to contact someone they may not have spoken to in a while.<\/p><p>Participants are encouraged to:<\/p><ul><li>Send a text message<\/li><li>Make a phone call<\/li><li>Visit a neighbour<\/li><li>Ask someone: <em>\u201cHow are you really feeling?\u201d<\/em><\/li><\/ul><p>As part of the activity, we will also create a Community Kindness Wall, where people can share supportive messages, positive thoughts, and words of encouragement for others.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a6b7f1b elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"a6b7f1b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Gratitude can strengthen relationships and improve emotional wellbeing. Friendship Day is all about bringing people together in a positive and inclusive environment.<\/p><p>Planned activities include:<\/p><ul><li>Community lunch<\/li><li>Creative workshops<\/li><li>Picnics in the park<\/li><\/ul><p>The goal is to help build new friendships, strengthen social support networks, and celebrate the importance of community.<\/p><p>Mental health affects us all.
