Opening of Shpresa’s New Home at Mansfield House

On 28th November 2025, a truly historic and emotional milestone was celebrated by the Shpresa community. On a day that also marks Albania’s Independence Day, we gathered to witness the realisation of a long-held dream, the official opening of Shpresa’s new office and Community Centre at Mansfield House.

For many years, Mansfield House has stood as a place filled with stories of struggle, resilience, migration, hope, and community. It has long been part of the journey of many families we serve today.

Now, through the vision, dedication, and collective effort of Shpresa, this building has been bought, restored, and transformed into a vibrant community hub, a true home for generations to come.

This is more than a building, it is a place of belonging, a place of empowerment, a place we can finally call home.

At the heart of this journey is our beloved founder and leader, Luljeta Nuzi (Luli).

It was her dream, determination, and unwavering belief that one day Shpresa would have a permanent home, a space where the community could grow, thrive, and belong.

Although she is no longer with us, her spirit continues to guide every step we take. As we open the doors of Mansfield House, we honour her legacy, her leadership, and her vision.

Shpresa is not only a dream realised, it is her legacy carried forward.

The evening featured a powerful and inspiring presentation by Daniel Buna, who led the session on the Right to Work campaign.

His clarity, confidence, and leadership deeply inspired everyone present. Daniel’s work continues to reflect the strength of young leaders within our community who are driving meaningful change.

We are incredibly proud of you, Daniel, keep leading for change.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended this historic celebration.

A special thank you goes to Arjola, one of our young participants from the Breaking the Chains project, who shared a powerful and emotional message that moved everyone in the room. Her words reminded us of the importance of youth voice, courage, and lived experience in shaping the future.

We are grateful to all attendees, supporters, volunteers, and partners who joined us on this special evening.

This opening was not just a ceremony, it was a moment of unity, reflection, and achievement.

It marked the result of years of dedication, community work, and shared belief in a better future.

As we celebrate Albania’s Independence Day, we also celebrate a new beginning for Shpresa and for our community.

This is a space where voices will be heard, talents will be nurtured, and lives will continue to be transformed.

Mansfield House is now our home, and it belongs to all of us.

We sincerely thank everyone who has been part of this journey, past and present. Your support, belief, and contribution have made this dream a reality.

We look forward to welcoming you, working together, and continuing to build a stronger community from our new home.

TOGETHER WE CAN, TOGETHER WE MAKE THE DIFFERENCE!
