Honouring Mother Teresa & Luljeta Nuzi at the Guild Church of St Katherine Cree
On 19 September 2025, we gathered at the beautiful Guild Church of St Katherine Cree for a deeply moving and meaningful evening titled “A Legacy of Light”.
It was a night filled with reflection, gratitude, and togetherness as we honoured the lives and enduring legacy of two extraordinary women, Mother Teresa and Luljeta Nuzi.
The evening brought together community members, partners, volunteers, friends, and supporters to remember two women whose lives continue to inspire kindness, service, and unconditional love.
Their legacy reminds us that love in action has the power to change the world.
We are sincerely grateful to everyone who attended, shared their reflections, and contributed to creating such a warm and powerful atmosphere of unity.
Your presence turned this gathering into a true celebration of humanity, compassion, and shared purpose.
A very special part of the evening was dedicated to remembering our dear Luljeta Nuzi, lovingly known as Luli, a remarkable leader, a loyal friend, and an inspiring woman who touched so many lives.
She is remembered as “one in a million”, and her absence is deeply felt every day. Yet her spirit continues to live on through the work, values, and mission she left behind.
We continue to honour her legacy by carrying forward the vision she believed in so strongly empowering communities, supporting families, and building hope for the future.
We were especially moved by the heartfelt words shared by Flutra, who spoke openly about her friendship with Luljeta Nuzi, her journey with the Shpresa Programme, and the deep sense of family within the organisation.
“Shpresa is a family for our community. It will always be our home. Let’s continue Luli’s legacy, together we can make a difference.”
Her reflection reminded us of the strength of community, the importance of belonging, and the lasting impact one person can have on many lives.
We extend our sincere thanks for the award presented in honour of our dear Luli, recognising her outstanding contribution to the Shpresa Programme, the wider community, and the legacy she has left for all of us to continue.
This recognition is not only a tribute to her work, but also a commitment from all of us to continue her mission with dedication and love.

A special thank you goes to Merita Isufi for organising a beautiful and inspiring event by “Successful Mother” in March 2026, and for continuing to build spaces that empower, support, and uplift women within our communities. Thank you for the Award given in honour of our dear Luli, recognising her work with the Shpresa programme, the community and the legacy she left for the rest of the team to continue.
“A Legacy of Light” was more than an event it was a reminder that kindness, service, and unity continue to shape stronger communities.
As we move forward, we carry with us the spirit of both Mother Teresa and Luljeta Nuzi.
