How did you hear about the Shpresa Programme?
The first time I heard about Shpresa it was in Gascoigne primary school at a Governing Body meeting. I was just amazed hearing about all the work that the team were delivering with the Albanian community and the residents of B&D.
Why do you think that Shpresa’s work is important?
Like any community, it is important to have organisations keeping links with culture, languages and traditions as well as the awareness and education to integrate in the wider community and this is what Shpresa provides to residents.
What work have you done together?
Community engagement on the Gasgoigne Estate, Boxing Club, Dance Club, 2 Busy to get into Trouble project, and many more!
What do you enjoy the most about working with Shpresa?

What have you learned about the Albanian speaking community since working with Shpresa?
If you want something done, you ask Shpresa! Their unity and willingness to achieve and make a difference is commendable. They are keen to help the Albanian and wider community integrate and be part of the community.
If you could describe the work of Shpresa in one sentence what would you say?
Shpresa is a very committed and focused organisation.
What three words come to mind when you think of Shpresa?
UNITED, FOCUS, KIND.
